Dreamer's Bliss Pet Transportation started in October 2020. What began as helping friends and fellow breeders move their puppies safely has grown into a commercial pet transportation operation serving Atlantic Canada, Ontario, and the United States.
Who runs Dreamer's Bliss
Dreamer's Bliss runs from two bases. I'm in Harvey, New Brunswick, and I handle the quotes, the planning, and most of the driving. I'm an American Bulldog breeder and I have owned the American Bulldog Registry & Archives since 2005, so I've been on the breeder side of a puppy sale for a long time.
My partner, Melisa Guyett, is our Ontario base in Comber, Ontario. Melisa breeds Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican hairless dogs) and Sphynx cats. When a trip has an Ontario leg, Melisa is often the person you meet.
Pet transport started as a side service for breeders and rescues we already knew. The work grew because the need is real: puppies shouldn't fly unaccompanied in cargo when they don't have to, and buyers shouldn't have to drive fourteen hours each way to pick up a dog.
How we work
We run a high-end service on purpose. One client's pets per trip, in our own vehicle, never mixed with other people's animals. That's why we've done rescue imports from Russia, South Korea, and the Dominican Republic, shipped pets on CargoJet across Canada, and kept border crossing papers on file for every trip since 2020.
You can book a video call before you book the trip. You should know who's picking up your pet, see the vehicle, and get real answers from the person who will actually be driving.
How we cross the border
We hold a CBSA carrier code and file an electronic cargo manifest (ACI eManifest) for every crossing into Canada. When your pet crosses without you, a licensed customs broker files the entry, because a carrier cannot act as your agent at the border. Our brokers are RNR International on the Canadian side and OmegaCHB on the US side. There is no federal pet transporter licence in Canada; we explain what the law does require in the rules every pet transporter in Canada works under.
What we won't do
- Mix your pet with another client's animals.
- Take a puppy under six months into the United States. The CDC does not allow it, by any route.
- Move livestock. We carry dogs, cats, and small pets.
