Customs clearance, $428 CAD ($300 USD) flat
Clearance is a flat $428 CAD ($300 USD)per shipment entering the United States, in addition to your transport quote and billed on the same invoice. We pay OmegaCHB. It does not scale with the animal's value, and it covers the filing, coordination with the federal agencies, and any follow-up needed to clear your pet.

The power of attorney form
Before OmegaCHB can file anything, you sign a power of attorney authorising them to act for you as the importer, and you send it to them with a copy of your photo ID. This is the one piece of the process we cannot do for you. A customs power of attorney has to come from the importer, and under CBSA's rules a carrier cannot act as your agent anyway, so your signature is the thing that makes the filing possible.
Send the form and the ID copy straight to OmegaCHB. Do not send them to us. We do not collect or store customer identification, and an ID copy sitting in our inbox helps nobody. If you are unsure you are sending it to the right place, call us and we will point you at the right contact rather than take the file ourselves.
A copy of OmegaCHB's power of attorney form is below, current as of September 2026. Customs forms get revised, and a form downloaded from a transport company's website two years from now is exactly how a shipment gets held up, so confirm with OmegaCHB that this is still the current version before you sign it. They will also send you their importer information sheet, which is not included here.
