Deposit policy

Deposit amount

$200 CAD per booking. This is the standard amount for all trips regardless of distance. Some very long or multi-pet trips may require a larger deposit at quote time; if so, it will be stated in writing before you pay.

Non-refundable

The deposit is non-refundable. It covers the operational cost of holding your pickup date, turning down other inquiries for the same window, and coordinating paperwork and broker communication before the trip.

Cancellations by the client

If you cancel more than 48 hours before the scheduled pickup, you lose the deposit but owe nothing further. If you cancel within 48 hours of pickup (or after we've started driving), the full quoted trip fee remains due, because the vehicle is already committed and the route is already planned.

Cancellations by the carrier

If we cancel for any reason other than force majeure (severe weather, border closure, vehicle emergency), you receive a full refund of all amounts paid, including the deposit. We'll also help you find alternate transport where possible.

Force majeure

Severe weather, border closures, wildfires, medical emergencies, and similar events beyond reasonable control may require rescheduling. In those cases, we work with you to reschedule at no additional charge. Deposits are applied to the rescheduled trip.

Applied to the final invoice

Your $200 deposit is credited against the total trip fee. If the quoted trip total is $1,200 CAD, your deposit covers $200 of that and you owe the $1,000 balance on pickup.
