Questions about pet shipping to Calgary
How does my pet get from the Calgary warehouse to the door?
You or a local contact collects from the CargoJet facility at Calgary International Airport, Unit 150, 175 Aero Way NE, Calgary International Airport, AB T2E 6K2, the morning after the flight. We confirm the exact pickup window before your pet flies.
Does my pet need a health certificate to fly to Calgary on CargoJet?
No. CargoJet does not ask for a health certificate or a rabies certificate for a pet on a domestic flight inside Canada. That is the carrier's policy on a domestic route, not a government rule, and vaccination is still a decision for you and your vet.
What crate does my pet need?
A crate that meets the IATA Live Animal Regulations for size, ventilation, door and labelling, with food and water bowls attached. We source one or tell you exactly which to buy.
Can weather stop a pet flight to Calgary?
Yes. Live animal cargo is embargoed when ground temperatures at either end are outside safe ranges, typically above 30°C or below -10°C. We watch the forecast and move the date, or drive instead, rather than fly into an embargo.
How much does it cost to ship a pet to Calgary on CargoJet?
It is quoted per shipment and never under our $465 CAD minimum charge. The quote covers our ground legs to the Hamilton or Moncton warehouse plus CargoJet's own cargo rate, which moves with your pet's weight and the size of the crate.
